Kaş doesn't have its own airport, but it's an easy drive from two of them. Here's how to get there, how long it takes, and a few tips to make the journey smooth.
Which airport: Dalaman or Antalya?

Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the closest, about 2.5 hours by road and the most scenic route along the coast. Antalya Airport (AYT) is larger with more international flights but around 3 to 3.5 hours away.
If flight times and prices are similar, Dalaman is usually the easier choice for Kaş.
Transfers, car hire and buses
A private airport transfer is the most comfortable option and can be arranged in advance. Car hire gives you freedom to explore beaches and day trips, though Kaş town itself is walkable.
Intercity buses (otobüs) and minibuses (dolmuş) also connect Dalaman, Fethiye and Antalya to Kaş for a budget-friendly trip.
When is the best time to visit Kaş?

The season runs roughly from May to October. June and September offer warm seas with fewer crowds, while July and August are hottest and busiest. Boat trips run most reliably across these months.
Spring and autumn are also lovely for diving, walking the Lycian Way and exploring without the peak-summer heat.
Private transfer vs bus vs car hire
A private transfer from Dalaman (DLM) runs about €110 to €150 each way for up to 6 people; from Antalya (AYT) about €140 to €190. It's by far the smoothest option after a long flight, especially at night or with children. An intercity Pamukkale or Bati Antalya bus from either airport reaches Kaş for 350 ‑ 500 TL per person but with one change at Fethiye (DLM) or Antalya bus station (AYT). Car hire from either airport averages €25 to €45 per day in season; useful if you want to drive yourself to beaches and Saklıkent, but you won't need it inside Kaş itself.
Flights, layovers and tips on timing

From Western Europe, direct seasonal flights to Dalaman start in late April and end in late October. Antalya runs more year round routes and is the better choice for North African, Russian and Asian connections. Aim to land before 18:00 — driving the coast road after dark adds time and reduces the scenery. Daylight transfers are typical, but if you arrive late, a private driver is safer than a self drive route through hairpin sections of the D400. If you're routing through Istanbul, allow at least 75 minutes between flights and remember Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is not Istanbul Airport (IST).
Getting around once you're in Kaş
Central Kaş is a small grid you can cross on foot in 15 minutes. Dolmuş minibuses connect the centre, Çukurbağ peninsula, Kalkan, Patara and Üçağız (the gateway village to Kekova) for 25 ‑ 75 TL a ride. Taxis are metered and a town to peninsula ride is typically 100 ‑ 200 TL. Scooters and e bikes are easy to rent for a day and ideal for the peninsula loop. For long day trips (Saklıkent, Patara, Demre Myra), a half day private taxi or a small group tour is usually better value than DIY.
