Kaputaş Beach
The region's most famous beach: a strip of pale pebble-sand at the foot of a gorge, framed by cliffs and impossibly blue water, about 20 minutes from Kaş on the Kalkan road. Go early in summer and bring water shoes for the pebbles. A staircase leads down from the roadside.

In town, swimming is from concrete platforms and beach clubs along the Çukurbağ peninsula, where ladders drop into deep, clear water — perfect for a quick dip with a sunbed and a coffee nearby. Küçük Çakıl and Büyük Çakıl are the small pebble beaches within walking distance.
Hidden bays reachable by boat
The very best swimming is in the bays you can only reach by boat — Liman Ağzı, the Sıçak coves and the calm anchorages around Kekova. The water is glassy and the crowds disappear. A daily boat trip or a private charter is the way to find them.
Patara: Türkiye's longest beach
Forty minutes west of Kaş, Patara unrolls 18 kilometres of pale soft sand, backed by dunes and ancient ruins instead of hotels. It's a protected nesting site for loggerhead turtles, which means no buildings on the beach, no music and a 7 pm summer closure. Bring everything you need — there's only one small bar at the entrance. The shallow shore and gentle waves make it the kid friendliest big beach in the region, and the Lycian gateway arch at the entrance is one of the most photographed ruins in Türkiye.
Limanağzı: a 10 minute water taxi from Kaş
If you only have a half day, Limanağzı is the easiest escape: a tiny bay cluster a 10 minute water taxi from Kaş harbour, with three relaxed beach clubs sharing the same crystal water. Daily boats run hourly through the summer and cost around 100 TL per person each way. Bring a book, snorkel and an appetite — each club has a small restaurant. It feels remote, but the harbour is in sight.
Quieter spots locals love
For something more local, head to Akçagerme on the Çukurbağ peninsula (a long pebble bay with no road sound and beautiful sunsets) or to the small coves below the lighthouse just past the marina. Both take a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi from town. In high season they replace the busier town platforms for anyone willing to walk a few minutes more.
