Quick answer
Kaş with kids works because it's small, walkable and safe, the water is calm and clear, and boat trips have life jackets and shallow swim stops in sheltered bays. Best for families: the half-day Blue Cave trip and the Kaş Bays & Islands tour; older children love the full Kekova day. Stay in the old town for walking, or on Çukurbağ peninsula for pools and quiet.
Kaş is a wonderfully easy place to travel with children: small, safe and walkable, with calm, clear water everywhere you look. Here's how to plan a family trip the whole crew will love — toddlers to teens.
Family-friendly boat trips

Our boats are built for relaxed family days: shaded seating, easy ladders into the water, life jackets in every size and swim stops only in calm, sheltered bays. The half-day Blue Cave trip and the bays & islands tour are ideal first trips for little ones, while a private charter lets you set nap-friendly timings.
Beaches & gentle adventures
Kaputaş Beach is a hit with older kids (mind the steps and pebbles), while the town's swimming platforms suit confident swimmers. Beyond the water, families love easy snorkelling, sea-kayaking over the Kekova ruins for older children, and a cooling day at Saklıkent Gorge.
Practical tips for families

Bring reef shoes for pebbly entries, plenty of sun protection and a light cover-up for breezy returns. Tell us ages and any needs when you book and we'll match you to the calmest boat and timing. Lunches on board can be kept simple for fussy eaters.
Where to stay with kids
Two areas work best with children. The old town and harbour put you steps from restaurants and boat tours — no need for a car, easy stroller routes if your buggy is small. The Çukurbağ peninsula is quieter, often has pools and gentler swim platforms, and feels resort-like; ideal with toddlers if you have a car or don't mind a short taxi into town. Look for hotels that explicitly say child-friendly and ask about cots and connecting rooms in advance.
Dining out with children

Turkish dining culture is genuinely warm to children. Most restaurants welcome kids until late, will rearrange a table if you need a stroller alongside, and bring you tea while you wait. Order off the meze list (cheeses, breads, börek, dolma) — most picky eaters find something. Pide (Turkish flatbread pizza) is a reliable kid-pleaser. The harbour restaurants get crowded after 20:00; eat at 18:30 - 19:30 for an easier service and to be home for bath time.
Rainy day and off-water options
Kaş has few rainy days in season, but a sudden shift can happen. Indoor backups: the small ice-cream and pastry shops in the old town are happy with sticky fingers. Drive 60 minutes to Demre to see the Lycian rock tombs of Myra and the church of St Nicholas (the original Santa Claus) — half a day, mostly under cover. Saklıkent Gorge actually gets more dramatic after rain (mind the river current). On hot days, the Antalya Aquarium 3 hours east is a worthwhile long day out.
